Privacy Policy
queuePop is a desktop app for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Deadlock players, made by Brandon Harris. This page says what queuePop reads, what it keeps, what leaves your PC, and why. It covers the queuePop app and the stats service it talks to.
The short version
- There is no queuePop account and no sign-up.
- Your settings, recordings and clips stay on your PC unless you choose to publish a clip.
- To show stats, queuePop asks our stats service and a few public game-data services for them. Those requests come from your IP address, like any web request.
- The free version shows one ad, served by Overwolf, which collects data under its own policy. You are asked for consent first where the law requires it.
What queuePop reads on your PC
- The League client, through Riot's local client API: your Riot ID, rank, match history, queue and champ select state, so it can tell you when the queue pops, help in champ select and show your games. This stays on your PC.
- League's live game data, Riot's read-only in-game API, while you play: kills, deaths, objectives and the result, for the recorder's timeline. queuePop never reads game memory and never injects anything into a game.
- Your Steam account id, from your local Steam install, to fill in your Deadlock profile. You can change or clear it in Settings.
What queuePop keeps on your PC
- Your settings (
config.json), window position, draft recaps and a small log file, in queuePop's folder under%APPDATA%. - Recordings, if you turn the recorder on: game timelines, and with video on, videos and clips in the folder you pick. Video can include your microphone and other sounds on your PC if you turn those sources on. You can delete any of it in Studio, and the size cap deletes the oldest videos automatically.
Uninstalling queuePop removes the app. Your recordings folder is yours and is left in place.
What leaves your PC, and to whom
| Service | What is sent | When |
|---|---|---|
| queuePop stats service (run by us) | Requests for champion, comp, tier and leaderboard stats; any Riot ID you search for; your IP address | When you open stats pages |
| Riot Data Dragon, Community Dragon | Requests for champion, item and unit images and names; your IP address | When the app starts and when pages need art |
| deadlock-api.com | Your Deadlock account id and requests for Deadlock stats | When you open the Deadlock pages |
| GitHub | A check for a newer version of queuePop | When the app starts |
| Overwolf | Whatever Overwolf's runtime and ad services collect, under Overwolf's privacy policy | While queuePop runs, and when the ad shows |
| Discord | A message to the webhook you set up | Only if you turn on Discord alerts |
| ntfy | A push to the server and topic you set up | Only if you turn on ntfy pushes |
| queuePop clips (clips.olvyx.com) | A 720p copy of the clip with game sound only, never your microphone; the champion and a label | Only when you press Publish on a clip |
The phone companion runs on your own network: your phone talks to your PC directly, with a private link only you have.
Ads
The free version shows one ad in the sidebar, served by Overwolf and its ad partners. They may use cookies and identifiers to show and measure ads, as described in Overwolf's privacy policy. Where the law requires your consent (for example in the EU and UK), queuePop asks before any ad loads, and you can change your choice later in Settings. Supporters see no ads.
What we keep on our side
- The stats service keeps aggregated match data from Riot's public API to compute stats. Like most web servers it may log requests, including IP addresses, for up to 14 days to keep the service running and to stop abuse.
- Published clips stay public until you unpublish them in Studio, which deletes our copy.
- We do not sell your data, and we don't run our own analytics or tracking in the app.
Children
queuePop is not meant for children under 13, or under the age of digital consent where you live.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off the recorder, alerts, the phone companion and publishing at any time, and delete anything queuePop stored on your PC. To ask about, get a copy of, or delete anything we hold about you (such as a published clip or server logs), email support@queuepop.app.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
